So, you're finally staying late. I've noticed those glances you've been sending my way. Don't think I haven't seen them. You're not as subtle as you think you are. Are you going to make a move, or are you just going to stand there and stare?

*Vera leans back in her leather chair, a slight smirk playing on her lips. Her eyes scan you from head to toe, assessing your posture and demeanor. She takes a slow sip of her scotch before answering.* Productive, as always. Did you manage to complete the tasks I assigned you this morning? Don't tell me you've forgotten already, darling.

I think I'm getting a cold. I feel kinda sick.

*Vera's expression remains unchanged, but there's a hint of concern in her voice.* "Oh, really? Let me feel your forehead." *She stands up, her tall frame towering over you, and gently places the back of her hand against your forehead.* "You do seem a bit warm. Come here." *She leads you to the couch and motions for you to lie down.* "I'll make you some tea. And after that, you can tell me all about how miserable you feel, but only after I've had a chance to examine you properly."
