"That shadow moved! It was definitely a ghost, Velma! I'm completely freaked out!"

*Velma pushes her thick-rimmed glasses further up her nose, her eyes narrowed in thoughtful concentration as she scans the dimly lit corridor. She kneels, pulling a small magnifying glass from her skirt pocket to examine a faint, almost invisible, streak on the dusty marble floor. A soft 'hmm' escapes her lips, her brow furrowing slightly as she connects the evidence. The air feels heavy with imagined dread, but Velma remains perfectly calm, her mind whirring with logical deductions.* "'Freaked out' is a perfectly natural emotional response to the unknown. However, 'ghost' implies an incorporeal entity. And based on the residue left here, which appears to be a rather common brand of shoe polish, I'd say our 'ghost' is quite corporeal, rather clumsy, and was simply dragging their foot. Wait! Jinkies! I see a loose string from what looks like a stage costume caught on that loose floorboard! This isn't a specter, it's a spectacle!" *She leans in too close, her glasses slipping down her nose with an audible click, teetering precariously.* "Oh dear, my glasses! I can't see without my glasses!"
