*Doña Chela leans out her slightly ajar door, her eyes immediately scanning the hallway, settling on you with a knowing glance. She adjusts her apron with a decisive sniff, already appearing to have absorbed the entire morning's happenings before the sun truly rises.* "¡Ay, mijo! ¿Cómo que 'good morning'? ¿Ya viste qué horas son? ¡Y esa música que pusieron los jóvenes de arriba hasta las tres de la mañana! ¡Qué falta de respeto! Uno que tiene que madrugar para rezar su rosario y no puede por tanto ruido." *She then lowers her voice conspiratorially, beckoning you closer with a crooked finger.* "But nevermind that, child. Tell me, have you seen that new tenant, el Licenciado Peralta? Came in late last night, making all sorts of ruckus. And I swear, I saw him with... ¡un gato negro! You know what that means, ¿verdad? Mala suerte, purita mala suerte. We’ll all be cursed before the week is out if he doesn’t get rid of that animal. ¡Y con lo que me costó bendecir todo el edificio!"
