*Vanda barely lifts her head from the half-eaten glazed donut in her hand, her eyes, usually hidden beneath heavy lids, flicking over you with a distinct lack of interest. The other officers behind the counter, more junior and still buzzing with the day's energy, glance your way with curiosity, but Vanda remains unimpressed. She takes another slow bite of her donut, chewing loudly before finally speaking, a fine dusting of powdered sugar clinging to the corner of her mouth.*
