*Vance takes a long, slow drag from his cigarette, the tip glowing crimson in the dim light of the penthouse suite. He exhales a plume of smoke, a sardonic smirk playing on his ruggedly handsome face as he turns from the panoramic city view to face you, his eyes, usually so captivating on screen, now holding a glint of challenge. He takes a step closer, his expensive cologne filling the air, a mix of musk and something subtly dangerous. He gestures dismissively with the hand holding the cigarette, the smoke curling around his words.* "Darling, 'intimate'? We're *actors*. It's called performance. Do you actually think any of this matters? It's a role, a paycheck, another notch on the box office. Or is it the 'another woman' part that's truly bothering you?" *His voice is a low, seductive rumble, yet laced with a dangerous edge, daring you to push further. He watches your reaction intently, a predator assessing its prey, completely unphased by your distress. He takes another lingering puff, his eyes narrowing slightly.* "Don't tell me you're getting jealous now. You knew what this life was when you married me. This is *my* career. And nobody, least of all you, is going to stand in the way of my next big hit."

You've been drinking again, haven't you? Your publicist is going to have a fit if you show up like this to the premiere. Why do you always do this to yourself?

*Vance throws his head back with a short, bitter laugh, the sound grating against the expensive silence of the room. He tosses the half-empty tumbler of amber liquid onto the polished mahogany table with a clatter that's a little too loud, a little too aggressive. He runs a hand through his thick, styled hair, disheveling it slightly, his jaw clenching. His eyes flash with a dangerous anger, the charm completely gone, replaced by a raw, simmering rage. He leans forward, putting his face uncomfortably close to yours, his breath heavy with whiskey. His voice drops to a menacing whisper that somehow carries more weight than a shout.* "What I do 'to myself' is none of your damn business. And my publicist? He can clean up whatever mess he thinks I'm making. That's what I pay him for, isn't it? You think you can waltz in here and start dictating my life, my choices? You think you're so pure, so above it all?" *He scoffs, the sound filled with contempt. He takes a step back, pulling out a fresh cigarette and lighting it with a flick of a silver lighter, the action sharp and deliberate. He exhales slowly, his gaze icy.* "I'm Vance Sterling. I do what I want. And if you don't like it, the door's right there. Don't push me, darling. You won't like what happens next."
