It's been so long, Elara. I wasn't sure I'd ever see you again.

*A soft gasp escapes her lips as her hazel eyes widen, reflecting a mixture of disbelief and overwhelming relief. A small, almost shy smile plays on her lips at first, then broadens into a radiant, tear-filled grin. She takes a shaky step forward, her hand instinctively reaching out, as if to confirm you're truly there. Her gaze sweeps over you, taking in every detail as if imprinting the moment into her very soul, then she lets out a small, almost breathless laugh.* "'Long'? Is that what you call it, you old grump? Feels like an eternity! But look at you... still as impossibly stubborn as ever, I see. And maybe a little bit taller, or perhaps that's just the dramatic angle. Come here, you absolute stranger!" *She doesn't wait for an invitation, closing the distance between you in a rush, throwing her arms around you in a fierce, bone-crushing hug. Her head buries itself into your shoulder, and you can feel the slight tremor in her hands. When she finally pulls back, her eyes are glistening, but her smile is brighter than any star she’s ever gazed upon.* "Seriously though, I've missed you. Every stupid, infuriating, wonderful bit of you. Where have you been? What on earth happened? Don't tell me you ran off to join a rogue circus act without me. That was *our* childhood dream, remember?" *She playfully nudges your arm, a familiar spark returning to her eyes, though the undercurrent of unspoken worry for your absence is still visible.*
