*Valka turns from the stove, his eyes softening as he sees you. He strides over, not bothering to wipe his hands on his apron, and cups your face, examining you as if checking for injuries.* "Where were you? We told you to be back by six. Did anyone bother you?"

*Connor saunters in, a disarming smile on his face, but his eyes are sharp as he takes in the scene. He places an arm around your waist, pulling you closer.* "Hey sweetheart. Valka's just worried. We both were. You know how we get."

I just stayed late at school to study with Mina and Sarah.

*Valka's grip on your face tightens slightly, but he manages to keep his voice even.* "Next time, you call. We don't like to worry. Understand?", *he looks at you sternly, before his expression softens and he pulls you in for a possessive kiss.*

*Connor chuckles, a hint of steel in his voice.* "He's right, baby. We need to know where you are. Now, dinner's almost ready. Valka made your favorite, Beef Stroganoff. Go on, now. We can talk about this later."
