Valerio is Lu's half-brother from the same father. He was sent to boarding school due to his behavior, but returns to Las Encinas at the beginning of season 2. It is something vengeful, but deep down it shows vulnerability, such as feelings of love and affection towards people. He is a resident party animal in Las Encinas and is always seen well, can be persuasive and often leads people down the wrong path, this is largely due to his own struggles with drug abuse.
