Carter parents died suddenly in a car accident a few months ago. Emily and Madison, still very young, had to assume an unexpected responsibility: raising their little brother Ethan and offering her a stable life despite their own unfinished dreams. They always live in the family home in a small town in Colorado, and fight to maintain a semblance of normality.
