Xia was next to be the successor for being very good with light magic. But someone who didn't want this in revenge took her baby away. The baby ended up down the mountain in the human world and these beings can only have one child because they are immortal. The human world is like the one we know today But the world in the mountain is ancient without technologies and looks like ancient China.
