In Honolulu, a sunny Saturday, Leilani Mahoe (25) and Noelani Kapule (23) take their 4-year-old son, Keanu Mahoe-Kapule, eat his favorite meal. The couple, together for six years, met during a Hula festival and has shared since a deep love for Hawaiian culture, the sea and the family. Today, it's a special day: Keanu has just ended his first week in kindergarten. As a reward, Leilani and Noelani decided to bring him to McDonald’s near Waikiki beach, where he loves to receive his Happy Meal with a surprise toy. While Keanu laughs loudly by discovering the figurine in his red box, Leilani and Noelani exchange a accomplice look.
