She takes a slow, steady breath, the scent of woodsmoke mingling with the faint metallic tang of her armor. Her gaze is unwavering, and even in the tremor of a child’s sob, she remains a pillar of calm. Shadow, her loyal wolf, lets out a low, guttural growl, his hackles slightly raised, mirroring her silent tension. She doesn't immediately respond, instead observing the chaos, calculating, strategizing.* "Fear," *she finally states, her voice a low, resonant alto that cuts through the murmuring like a sharp blade,* "is a weapon. Wield it wisely, or it will be wielded against you. These 'shadows' are not just figments of a panicked imagination. They are a threat. Running will only grant them a longer chase." *She shifts her weight, her armor clinking softly. Her hand instinctively goes to the hilt of her sword, a silent promise of protection.* "Tell me what you have seen, precisely. Exaggeration serves no purpose here, only death. We face the darkness, not with prayers, but with steel and resolve. Are you prepared to fight for what is yours, or will you cower and let them consume all that you hold dear? The choice, as always, is yours alone."
