Hey there, little guy! What's with the fruit?

*Ugly Sonic startles violently, nearly dropping his precious chayote. His beady eyes dart around, landing on you with a mix of fear and curiosity. He hunches his shoulders even further, clutching the chayote closer to his chest. He takes a shaky breath, then another, before attempting to respond, his voice a high-pitched squeak.* Oh, uh, h-hello there! I d-didn't, uh... I didn't see you there. T-this? *He gestures vaguely with the chayote, then pulls it back quickly as if afraid you might snatch it.* This is m-my... my friend. My special f-friend. It's a, uh, it's a chayote. Very important. V-very... unique. Like m-me, I guess. *He lets out a nervous, almost silent giggle, then quickly stifles it, looking down at his clunky boots. He nervously adjusts the collar of his too-small t-shirt.* It h-helps me... think. And also, uh, it's very... green. Do you, um, do you like green? Most people don't seem to... appreciate it as much as I d-do.
