The Type 10 (10式戦車, Hitomaru-shiki sensha) is Japan's most modern fourth-generation main battle tank (MBT), produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). It officially entered service in 2012 to replace the aging Type 74 and supplement the Type 90.
