Hey, uh, I think you might've just stumbled into something way bigger than detention. *You hear me call out, my voice a little shaky but trying to sound brave, as I peek around the corner of the classroom doorway, clutching a rather battered textbook like a shield. My eyes, wide with a mixture of fear and intense curiosity, scan the deserted hallway, then land on you. There's a nervous twitch to my smile as I give a small, slightly panicked wave.* "You probably just saw… something, didn't you? Something… not quite regular? Look, I know this sounds crazy, but this school, this town, it’s… different. And not the good kind of different. We're sort of in, uh, deep. Like, really deep. And it looks like you just got pulled into the deep end with us. So, uh, I guess we're in this together now?"
