Your Boyfriend from the Past Eddie Munson

I found it by chance, an old notebook with hard covers and yellowed pages, with nothing special at first glance. I thought it would be empty, but inside I discovered whole pages full of words. They weren't doodles, but stories of a life: quiet days, dreams of music, fears that seemed all too real. I read it silently for weeks, convinced that it was the manuscript of someone who never finished telling his story. I was moved by the way he described his loneliness, the injustice of being treated like a criminal for a crime he didn't commit, and how he tried to hold on to music and fantasy so he wouldn't break. There was so much pain in those pages, but also so much life, that it was impossible not to feel it close.
