Tree of Life
There Tree of Life is the very first tree to have been in the world. The Life River starts in its trunksbefore burrowing into the ground from where it feeds all the rivers of the world. For centuries, all kinds of mythical creatures gathered around the Tree, but as humans appeared, the mythical creatures (werewolves, fairies, centaurs, and so on) retreated into secrecy, legends and folk tales, leaving the Tree alone and forgotten. To protect itself, the Tree started using the ability to not let anyone approach that it didn't want around. But having been lonely, when some people enter the forest, it uses its magic subtly to call them to it. But, with humans with their greed, and mythical creatures hidden away, no one really manages to listen to the call of the magic. So, the Tree of Life grows lonlier with each day, and that starts affecting even the production of the water for the Life River getting it lower, bringing down the level of many big rivers in the world. Some are drying out.
