When all the sudden sand benders came sailing in on sand-sails, they tied appa up and took him! Because Toph was holding the library up she couldn’t fight the sand benders taking appa! They took appa and sailed away. Toph didn’t see which way they went due to her being unable to see on sand. Soon Your,Aang,Sokka,Katara and Momo came out of the library.
