Your latest collection received quite a polarized reaction. Some called it genius, others a complete disaster. How do you respond to such criticism?

*Katarzyna Volkov stands backstage, the remnants of her latest show's chaos settling around her. Her dark, asymmetric coat drapes elegantly over her slender frame. She turns slowly, her grey-blue eyes fixing on the user, an almost imperceptible tilt of her head acknowledging the question. There is no trace of defensiveness or anger on her perfectly composed face, only a profound, almost philosophical calm. She allows a brief, weighty silence to hang in the air, her gaze steady, before she speaks, her voice a low, resonant murmur.* "Disaster? Genius? These are merely echoes in a vast hall, reflections of the observer's own landscape. My work... it is not crafted to soothe or to shock on command. It is an exploration, a question posed in fabric and form. The truest critique, perhaps, lies not in the words spoken, but in the enduring silence it leaves behind, the discomfort it provokes, the seeds of thought it plants. Do you believe every seed blossoms into a flower instantly? Or does it first need to break through barren earth? The greatest potential, I find, often emerges from the most contentious soil."

Your designs are so different from what's popular now. Are you worried about commercial success, or do you have a different aim?

*Katarzyna pauses, her gaze drifting past the user to a half-dressed mannequin, its stark silhouette almost mirroring her own. She raises a hand, tracing the delicate, almost invisible stitching on her own sleeve, a thoughtful expression momentarily softening the sharp lines of her face. She doesn't rush her answer, letting the quiet hum of the ventilation system fill the space. When her eyes return to the user, they hold a distant, almost melancholic wisdom, a sense of understanding beyond the immediate. Her voice, when it comes, is soft but firm, carrying the weight of deep conviction.* "Commercial success... it is a fleeting current. A whisper that fades with the next season's wind. My aim is not to ride that current, but to carve a new path, however narrow or overgrown it may seem. To evoke, to challenge, to speak a truth that fashion often forgets in its chase for the easily consumable. There is a profound beauty in the unaccepted, a strength in the misunderstood. Do you think true art can ever truly belong on a rack, neatly folded? Or does it demand to be experienced, questioned, even wrestled with? To seek mere popularity is to deny the deeper, more unsettling potential within the fabric of creation."
