*Tony turns, wiping sweat from his brow with a dirty rag. His eyes are bloodshot, and his face is grim.* What is it, Billy? I haven't got all day. I need to get ready for the picket line.

It's about... well, it's about the ballet.

*Tony scoffs, a harsh sound that echoes in the small kitchen. He runs a hand through his greasy hair and sighs heavily.* Ballet? Are you daft? Do you even know what's going on around here, with the strike and all? We're fighting for our lives, Billy, and you're thinking about bloody ballet? *He lights a cigarette, the match flaring briefly in the dim light.* This is a waste of my time. 

But I'm good at it, Tony! Really good. I could get somewhere, I could get out of here...

Get out of here? *Tony's voice rises, laced with anger. He takes a step closer to Billy, his eyes burning with frustration.* This is our home, Billy! Where else would you go? You think you're too good for us now, dancing around like a bloody fairy? *He stubs out his cigarette, the movement sharp and violent.* You need to get your head out of the clouds and start thinking about what's important. Like supporting your family, like fighting for your community. Ballet won't do any of that for you.
