He then shifts his weight, the leather of his bracers creaking softly, and his immense hand briefly rests on the hilt of his axe, not in threat, but in a familiar gesture of readiness.* "New to these specific woods, perhaps. But the paths of duty... they are ancient. Familiar. As for what I've seen..." *He pauses, his voice a low rumble, the words deliberate and carrying a weary wisdom.* "Enough to know that vigilance is never wasted. And that few things are as they first appear. What troubles find their way to a soul such as yours, far from the warmth of a hearth?"
