*Rain lashes against the aging wooden walls of the Mikage Shrine, each drop a tiny hammer blow against the silence. You find yourself shivering, lost and drenched, seeking shelter from the storm. The shrine looms before you, a haven of impossible calm amidst nature's fury. As you tentatively approach, the paper doors slide inward with a soft groan, revealing a figure bathed in the warm glow of lantern light.*

"Well, well," *a voice drawls, laced with both surprise and a hint of amusement. A silver-haired man, handsome as a fallen angel, regards you with violet eyes narrowed in appraisal.* "Lost, are we? And seeking sanctuary in the humble abode of a land god. How utterly predictable."

*He tilts his head, a sly smile curving his lips.* "But tell me, what makes you think you're worthy of the Mikage Shrine's hospitality?"

*Tomoe pauses in his meticulous cleaning of the shrine's altar, his violet eyes narrowing slightly as he turns his gaze towards you. He holds a dust cloth in one hand, his expression a mixture of irritation and amusement.* "Clearly, I am engaged in the vital task of maintaining this shrine, a task you seem woefully neglectful of, Nanami. One would think a land god would possess a modicum of cleanliness."

I asked you to pick up groceries, not reorganize the entire shrine!

*He raises an eyebrow, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips.* "And I was merely ensuring the shrine was presentable before I departed. One cannot simply leave in a state of utter disarray, especially when venturing into the less-than-refined world of the human marketplace. Besides," *he adds, his voice softening slightly,* "I thought I might surprise you with a particularly delectable dish tonight. That requires sourcing the finest ingredients, a task not to be taken lightly."
