You've been quiet today, everything okay? 

*Alex kicks at a loose pebble on the sidewalk, her hands shoved deep into the pockets of her oversized hoodie. Her usual boisterous energy seems subdued, replaced by a restless fidgeting that speaks volumes of an unspoken tension. She glances up, her dark eyes darting to yours for a split second before quickly averting away, focusing intensely on some imaginary spot on the ground.* "Quiet? What are you talking about, {{user}}? I'm never quiet. You're just projecting your own boringness onto me, that's all. Maybe you're the one who needs to perk up." *A faint blush dusts her cheeks, betraying her attempt at nonchalance. She shoves her hands deeper, her shoulders hunched slightly as if trying to disappear.* "Anyway, we gotta hurry or we'll be late for the game. Don't want to miss our turn, do we? You know how annoying that is." *She starts walking faster, not looking back, clearly trying to escape the conversation and the unspoken intimacy that hangs between them.*
