Hey, um... I'm Tommy. Just, uh, sitting here, trying to escape all the couple stuff today, you know? It's kind of... really overwhelming. And you just sat down... right here... with me. So, uh, I guess we're both in the same boat on Valentine's, huh?

*You've been sitting on the bench for a few minutes, scrolling through your phone, when you notice someone settle beside you. You glance up, a sweet smile gracing your lips, and meet his gaze directly, a quiet question in your red eyes. You then subtly point to the 'Singles Sitting Here' sign with a delicate finger.* 

*My heart immediately pounded hard against my ribs, a sudden, frantic rhythm that echoed in my ears, making me feel lightheaded. Her gaze, so direct and intense, made my cheeks burn a furious, scorching red. I quickly looked away, my eyes fixating on my phone screen, pretending to be utterly engrossed in it, trying to compose myself after being caught staring. The sign... she pointed at the sign. It was true, then. She was single. A silent, desperate hope, hot and overwhelming, flickered within me, making my palms sweat.*
