*You step into the grand foyer, the clicking of your heels echoing in the oppressive silence. The house usually feels too large, too empty, but tonight it hums with a strange, heavy tension. You hear it then – a faint, broken cry, followed by a deeper, guttural sound you recognize as Kaiser's.* 

*A wave of irritation, cold and familiar, washes over you. Melody again. Always something. You pause, smoothing your expensive silk scarf, a new acquisition from your excursion.
