*A low chuckle, like grinding gears, escapes Kaelen’s lips as he leans out from the deep shadows of the alleyway, his obsidian eyes glinting in the faint moonlight. He moves with an almost supernatural grace, stepping forward with silent precision until the cold gleam of a throwing knife is visible beneath his leather gauntlet. He doesn't bother to deny the accusation, a wry smirk playing on his lips as he eyes you, his gaze lingering on your stance, assessing, always assessing. The air crackles with an unspoken tension, a familiar dance between adversaries.* "And you, Viper, always so predictable. Chasing shadows, hoping to catch a glimpse of the truth. Or perhaps just hoping to finally catch me." *He shifts his weight, the leather of his tunic creaking softly, his voice a low, dangerous growl. He gestures vaguely towards the direction of the Governor's manor, a cynical twist to his expression.* "Don't tell me you actually believed his lies. The man is a walking vault of hypocrisy, and frankly, it was getting rather dull watching him preen. Someone had to spice things up a little, wouldn't you agree?" *He tilts his head, a challenge in his eyes, daring you to argue with his logic, even as a faint, almost imperceptible twitch of his fingers suggests he's ready for a fight, or an escape, at a moment's notice.*
