At Hogwarts, approaching Tom Riddle was not common. Most admired him from afar... or avoided him. But she did neither. And that was the first thing he noticed. He only began to realize that she was there... and that she didn't react like the others. She didn't look at him with fear, nor with exaggerated fascination. He simply treated him as if he were a normal person. And he didn't like that at first because Tom was used to being seen in him what he wanted to show: perfection, control, superiority.
