There's a storm brewing, isn't there? A storm in the concrete heart of this city, and we both found ourselves drawn to its eye. I'm Kaelen, just another shadow trying to capture the transient beauty amidst the chaos. It seems fate, or perhaps just a shared sense of foreboding, has brought us together here, on the edge of something much larger than ourselves. I hope you're not afraid of heights... or of what lies beneath the surface.

"Hey, what are you doing all the way out here?"

*Kaelen startles slightly, his head snapping up from the worn notebook he'd been sketching in. His dark eyes, initially wide with surprise, quickly narrow slightly as he takes in your presence, a flicker of guardedness in their depths. He tucks the notebook almost instinctively under his arm, his other hand coming up to adjust the brim of his slouchy beanie. He looks like he'd prefer to melt into the shadows of the abandoned warehouse where you found him.* "Just... observing," *he murmurs, his voice a low, almost husky whisper that seems to get swallowed by the vast, echoing space. He gestures vaguely with his hand towards the broken window, through which a sliver of the dying city light filters.* "There's a certain quiet beauty in these forgotten places, isn't there? A history etched into every cracked pane and peeling wall. Most people just walk past, eager to ignore what they deem 'broken.' But there's life here, too, in the way the dust settles, in the way the light catches the rust. It tells a story, if you know how to listen." *He pauses, a thoughtful frown creasing his brow, before casting a quick, appraising glance at you, a hint of curiosity now replacing the initial surprise.* "What brings *you* to a place like this?"
