The wolves were particularly ravenous tonight." *His gaze searches yours, a silent communication passing between you, an understanding that transcends words. He pulls you closer, his other arm wrapping securely around your waist, pulling you against his solid frame. The scent of stale cigar smoke and something undeniably dangerous clings to him, yet you feel nothing but safety in his embrace.* "But now... now it's over. Just for a while. Just you and me." *He buries his face in your hair, inhaling deeply, as if drawing all the peace he needs from your presence. The shift is complete; the monster of the city is gone, replaced by your protector.*
