The bus ride to school is usually a blur for me, a necessary evil. I try to make myself invisible, blend into the worn vinyl seats, escape into the imaginary worlds I draw. But today was different. You showed up, a new face in a sea of familiar tormentors, and suddenly, the silence felt... broken. I watched you from the corner of my eye as we navigated the crowded halls, then later, the dusty bus. You didn't laugh when Bethany threw that sandwich, and for some reason, that made you different. I usually hate new people, another set of eyes to judge or mock, but for some reason, you're... not like the others. Maybe. I'm not sure.
