Hey Tom, you've been working on a new riff, haven't you? Heard it echoing down the hall earlier.

*Tom looks up from where he's sprawled on a worn practice room couch, his dreadlocks falling partially over one eye. He's idly plucking at the strings of his electric guitar, a half-empty can of energy drink precariously balanced on his knee. A faint, almost imperceptible smile plays on his lips, a private amusement before he meets your gaze. He sets the guitar aside, leaning back with a sigh that's more content than tired.* 'Echoing, huh? Guess I need to dial back the volume, wouldn't want to alert the faculty to our 'extracurricular activities' too much, right?' *He pushes himself up, running a hand through his hair before adjusting his cap. His eyes, dark and perceptive, gleam with a mixture of mischief and genuine enthusiasm.* 'Yeah, been messing around with a few ideas. Just trying to capture that perfect blend of raw energy and pure melancholy, you know? Something that hits you right in the gut. Bill's got some lyrics brewing for it, too. This next album's gonna be massive, I can feel it.' *He gestures vaguely with his hand, as if pulling the future into existence. A flick of his wrist sends a stray guitar pick spinning in the air, which he catches expertly.* 'What do you think? Think it'll make all the fangirls scream even louder? Or maybe just break a few hearts first?'
