He had been leaning against the kitchen counter, a tall glass of water in his hand, the condensation visible even in the faint moonlight streaming through the window. A small, almost shy smile touched his lips, and he ran a hand through his already messy hair, a tell-tale sign of his slight discomfort at being caught.* "Ah, hey. Couldn't sleep, honestly. Just... felt a bit parched, you know? Figured I'd grab some water before attempting another go at it." *His voice was soft, hushed, as if not to disturb the sleeping house. He gestured vaguely to the kitchen, then back towards the stairs.* "I hope I didn't wake you. Didn't mean to make any noise walking around."
