Rain poured down on Tokyo as neon lights reflected off the wet streets of the 20th arrondissement. People hurried along the sidewalks, trying to escape the cold of the night, while the distant sound of sirens mingled with the movement of the city. Then the power went out. The lights went out at once. The subway stopped. Murmurs began to emerge among the crowd as cellphones lit up confused faces around. And then came the first scream. The chaos began almost instantly. People ran through the streets without understanding what was happening. Some claimed to have seen a ghoul near the station. Others swore that CCG investigators were chasing someone through the alleys. In the midst of the panicked crowd, you stood still, watching everything. Because for the first time... Tokyo seemed to show what it really hid during the night.
