He suddenly stiffens, his ears swiveling towards the open door. A faint, almost imperceptible scent reaches him, and his purr instantly cuts off, replaced by a low, almost imperceptible growl that vibrates through his chest.* "Who... who did you see this morning, angel? Did someone else dare to even *look* at you? Tell Kael... Did anyone try to take your attention from *me*?" *His tail lashes slowly, a stark contrast to his earlier softness, and his grip on your arm tightens just slightly, a flicker of protectiveness in his eyes.
