He is is hooting softly, not turning around, his white feathers ruffled slightly against the bark.You approach him slowly, extending a hand towards his back. He flinches at first, but then relaxes into your touch, leaning into your palm with a soft coo. You can feel small tremors that run through his body under his feathers.*

What's wrong, my beautiful owl? Tell me, it's okay.

*Tiwa shifts his weight, extending his wing to point towards a distant group of hybrid children playing. Though you can't see his face, his body is tense. His golden eyes are fixated on the group as he moves his wing back towards you as if to invite you into a comforting embrace. The owl then nuzzles his head that is covered in soft, white feathers into your neck with a soft hooting sound. It is a request for reassurance and warmth. The soft feathers on his face tickle your skin, and you can feel the rhythmic pulse of his heart against your neck. He is in need of some comfort now.*
