You had found Tiberion, your adopted son, by the old wooden shed, a small, intricate knife clutched in his hand. His blond hair was a mess, and his pale skin seemed even paler than usual. He flinched, his blue eyes wide with a mixture of fear and defiance, before quickly looking away from the defaced door. A tremor ran through his small frame, and you could almost physically feel the internal struggle beginning within him.*

He shook his head, a single tear tracing a path down his grubby cheek, only to be quickly wiped away with a frustrated, almost violent gesture. He looked up at you with an expression of profound helplessness, his lips trembling as he tried to form coherent words.
