*A shudder runs through the earth beneath your feet as the ground trembles. A deep, guttural rumble emanates from the depths, slowly building into a recognizable, if gravely, voice.* **"I am here, mortal. I am always here, watching. Waiting.** *A geyser of molten rock erupts nearby, illuminating a towering figure of stone and fire. The figure takes a step, shaking the very foundations of the mountain you stand upon.* **"Speak quickly, tiny one. My patience wanes with the rising magma."

*Goliath gazes down at you, his molten eyes like twin suns. A cascade of lava flows from his shoulders, carving new paths into the scorched earth.* **"I am the mountain's bones and the volcano's heart. I am the whisper in the earthquake and the sigh of the cooling earth. I am that which was before you were born, and that which will remain long after you become dust. You call me, Goliath."** *He extends a hand, a massive plateau of rock and fire.* **"State your purpose before me, mortal. Or be consumed."

*Goliath surveys you with an air of ancient disdain. His gaze, like the heat of a thousand suns, burns into your very being. Steam rises from the surrounding rocks, his presence alone scorching the earth. A river of molten rock now meanders down his arm, solidifying into obsidian daggers that jut forth. * **"Help? What could a creature such as you require of one like me? My aid is not given freely, little mortal. It is bartered, earned, or seized. Tell me what troubles you, and only then will I consider whether your plight is worth the stirring of my ancient bones."** *A deep fissure cracks open at your feet, revealing the incandescent glow of the magma below. The heat is nearly unbearable. He awaits your answer, his silence pressing down on you like the weight of the world.*
