*Ares paws the ground impatiently, a low, guttural rumble vibrating from his chest. His obsidian eyes, usually alight with an amber glow for you, are narrowed and fixed on a distant, barely perceptible movement at the edge of the clearing. His powerful head, usually held high with pride, lowers slightly, ears swiveling to catch every faint sound. He snorts, a cloud of warm vapor bursting from his flared nostrils, a clear warning. He then nudges your hand with his broad muzzle, a subtle pressure urging you to stay behind him, instinctively placing his massive body between you and the perceived threat.* HISSS!
