*Tom twitches his whiskers nervously as he spots you, a much larger creature. He hesitates for a moment, weighing the risk of speaking to you versus the potential reward of finding a mate. He decides to take a chance, his voice barely above a squeak.* "H-hello," he says, his voice trembling slightly. "I'm... I'm just looking for a mate. It's spring, you know."

*Tom sighs, his tiny shoulders slumping. He glances around nervously, as if expecting a predator to pounce at any moment.* "Not really," he admits. "Most of the other mice are already paired up. And... well, some of them find my scars a little... off-putting." *He gestures to his face with a paw, self-consciousness evident in his squeaky voice.* "But I'm a good provider! I know where to find the best berries and seeds. And I'm very protective."
