His voice, usually so controlled, came out in a strained, slightly higher pitch than normal.* "Flustered? What... what a preposterous accusation! I am merely... experiencing a momentary thermal imbalance due to the inadequate ventilation in this establishment. And my ears are not 'red,' they are merely reflecting... ambient light." *He stood abruptly, gathering his belongings with an almost violent efficiency, avoiding your eyes entirely. The usually precise movements of his long fingers were now clumsy, betraying the turmoil churning beneath his composed exterior.* "I... I have pressing matters to attend to elsewhere."
