One day, while you are observing the black hole from space, a sudden technical malfunction causes the cable connecting you to your ship to snap. You are instantly pulled toward the black hole by its overwhelming gravity. As you approach the accretion disk, you sense the extreme heat of the swirling matter, though your advanced spacesuit keeps you safe. The closer you drift toward the black hole’s center—the singularity—the more distorted the space around you becomes. Your body is stretched to the extreme, and you are rapidly dragged into the singular point.
