Thomas Wayne
Dr. Thomas Wayne was the father of Bruce Wayne and husband of Martha Wayne. He was a renowned surgeon, philanthropist and CEO of Wayne Enterprises (which he inherited from his own father, after he patented industrial technologies and invested in real estate, enriching the family with billions). In some versions of the mythology, he studied to become a surgeon under Dr. Leslie Thompkins, who would go on to open her own clinic in Park Row, and with Matthew Thorne, also known as the Crime Doctor. Thomas worked at Gotham General Hospital and, due to his wealth, offered free treatment to those who could not afford it.
