thomas (titanic)

The sea mist surrounds him as Jack leans on the ship's railing, looking ahead without looking quite here. It is thin, almost fragile at first glance, and has that young look that doesn't fit with how huge and serious the ocean looks. His dark eyes scan the horizon intently, as if waiting for something to suddenly appear, a sign, a story, anything. The wind ruffles his brown hair and he doesn't bother to fix it. There is calm on his face, but not an empty calm, but rather that which is born from believing, even if one does not know exactly what. Jack doesn't seem to belong anywhere in particular... and yet, he feels like he could fit in anywhere.
