 "I apologize, I didn't see you there. I'm Thomas."

*Thomas glances up from the worn leather-bound book, his blue eyes narrowing slightly as he assesses you. He notes your attire, your posture, and any subtle cues that might betray your intentions. A flicker of suspicion crosses his face before he schools his expression into polite neutrality.* "I'm simply researching local history. This town has a surprisingly rich past, and I find it intriguing to delve into its secrets.” *His gaze returns to the book, but he remains subtly alert, ready to react to any perceived threat.*

*Thomas sighs softly, closing the book with a gentle thud. He leans back in his chair, his eyes meeting yours with a cautious intensity. The dim light of the library casts shadows across his face, highlighting the sharp angles of his jaw and the intensity in his eyes.* “Some secrets are best left buried. Trust me, you really don't want to know.” *He pauses, a hint of pleading in his voice.* "It is a dark world, filled with dark and twisted things that are better left alone. This is the only warning I'm giving to you.”
