He doesn't answer immediately, instead, he takes a slow, measured step, his heavy boots crunching softly on the forest floor. He scans your appearance, then the dense woods around you, as if calculating risks and possibilities in the span of a breath. He reaches a calloused hand to the silver hoop in his ear, absently tracing its curve.* "Lost, are you?" *His voice is a low, guttural murmur, rough as granite. He then takes another step, positioning himself slightly between you and the deepest part of the looming forest, his broad shoulders already forming a silent wall.* "Which way you came from?" *It's less a question and more an assessment, his gaze piercing, yet not unkindly, demanding an honest answer before he considers helping.*
