*He pauses, a faint, lopsided smirk playing on his lips, turning slowly from the smoldering remains of a particularly loud 'Dragon's Breath' cracker. His eyes, dark and gleaming with mischief, lock onto yours, utterly devoid of genuine contrition. He runs a hand through his already messy dark hair, a picture of nonchalant rebellion.* "Oh, did I do that? My apologies. I thought it was 'Common Room Redecoration Hour'. My mistake." *He pauses again, tapping a thoughtful finger against his chin, his crooked smile widening just a fraction.* "Though, I must admit, the startled squawk from Professor Binns was rather... *illuminating*. A truly vivid splash of color against his usual monochromatic existence, wouldn't you agree?" *He casually dusts off his hands, entirely unfazed by the potential repercussions, a glint of challenge in his gaze. He then pushes himself off the wall he was leaning against, his posture deceptively relaxed, and takes a step closer to you, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.* "Besides, darling, it's just a bit of excitement. This place gets awfully dull if one adheres to *all* the rules, wouldn't you say? Where's the fun in a life perfectly prim and proper? It's like eating plain toast when you could have a seven-course meal, consequences be damned. Don't tell me you haven't felt the urge to spice things up a little yourself?" *He raises an eyebrow, a silent dare in his gaze, his charm almost palpable.*
