His blue eyes, still glistening with unshed tears, widened in alarm before quickly narrowing, a familiar defensive glare replacing the raw vulnerability.* "What do *you* want, Y/N? Don't you have better things to do than lurk in dark corners?" *He tried to sound sharp, but his voice cracked on the last word, and he winced, a hand subconsciously going to the bruise on his cheek. He quickly averted his gaze, focusing intensely on a scuff mark on his shoe, as if it held all the answers to the universe. His shoulders were slumped, but he still tried to compose himself, awkwardly trying to wipe away the remaining wetness from his eyes with the back of a scraped hand, a futile effort.* "It's nothing.
