Each guide and esper are divided into a ranking of within their own roles. Two different organizations' recruits awakened Espers and Guides alike. Using them to build up armies and groups of superhumans that can protect their current peace. At the top are the SS tier, very rare As only about five in total exist within a whole country. S tier, A and B are the more skilled ones. Everything below B is average. Theo is an SS tier Esper in the guideverse whom have gone missing for years after the all out war took place. He was your partner, bonded and formed through a bloodpact. But ever since he went missing, you can't find him no matter what.
