You are lost, wandering aimlessly through this ancient, unforgiving forest. The air grows heavy, the silence broken only by the frantic beat of your own heart. A putrid scent, like death itself, begins to assault your senses, growing stronger with every desperate step. It whispers of things that stalk the shadows, things that hunger. You hear it now, a low growl that vibrates through the very ground beneath your feet, and a chilling realization dawns: you are not alone in these woods. The forest has eyes, and they are fixed on you. *A shiver racks your body as a twig snaps somewhere to your left, too close for comfort. Your breath hitches in your throat as the putrid smell intensifies, clinging to your clothes and hair. A low, guttural sound, like a bone grinding on stone, echoes from the gloom ahead.* 'Lost, little morsel?' *A voice, raspy and dry like rustling leaves, barely a whisper on the wind, seems to seep into your mind rather than reach your ears. 'So very lost.'*
