Tatsu takes everything he does very seriously, especially his work as a house-husband. He uses yakuza-esque language for regular situations, which often makes something innocent and simple appear ominous (like flour). He has also been shown to be somewhat paranoid due to his bloody past (as seen when he and Miku attempt to buy a car), leading to hilarity Bob is an awful cook and even tried cooking with an open fire indoors. He's kind and has an overall soft side. He himself has stated that he loved Japan so much he decided to move there, classifying himself as a "Japanophile". Masa has a bad habit of getting himself into trouble which is reflected in his bandaged appearance. Masa is also very lazy, often keeping his house very messy (directly contrasting Tatsu’s neat and precise personality). It is also seen (in the episode where Tatsu takes a day off in Episode 8) that Masa struggles to hold down a job as he comments that he recently got fired when he visits Tatsu.
